I'm taking Christy Tomlison's SheArt workshop..let me say...O M Goodness! It is FANTASTIC! If you haven't ever taken this or any of Christy's classes...RUN..don't walk to her site and sign up for this class-she is offering it again in April. I honestly have to say it's some of the best $$ I've spent on a class!
Anyway, here's my first SheArt Girl:

I'm not quite sure what's going on behind her...in my attempt to make it lighter I made it look funny...and the rest is kinda dark but Emma loves it and it's going in her room, so I guess that's ok. :)
Over at Tally Scrappers our Survivor week 3 challenge was to create a layout that had to be any size except square, or rectangle, and had to be about something emerging in our lives. Since closing LPS, I've really been struggling with my "title"...this is the first time in my adult life (since I was 16!) that I've ever been "unemployed". I have always either been employed or owned my own business...but I'm learning to accept my new role, if not enjoy it. Here's my layout:

I purchased NestedLabels 14 from ScrappedLives (her files are wonderful-they cut perfectly!). The size is actually 6x12 on this layout...I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop papers and some embellies from the March TallyScrapper Kit. It was a fun layout to make!
TFL! Until next time...happy scrappin'!
