Quick change

Things can sure change quickly in life! One day I'm a work at home mom that homeschools and the next I'm a work at home mom that is a substitute teacher at my son's school! ? ! Jacob's going back to school-he just missed it too badly. I think he felt like he was missing something-he would hang with the same kids but it was different, kwim? SO, we're sending him back to school on Monday! The principal tested him and he's neck in neck with his peers, so that's not an issue. He's too bright to have it any other way! Now I have to buy school supplies! UGH! And I don't even get to take advantage of the sales that happen in September!

BUT while I was there, the principal asked if I would be willing to substitute teach. ME? I'm filling out the info and turning in the paperwork on Monday. I'm so glad I was kind to my substitute teachers when I was in school...maybe what goes around comes around, KWIM? I'm going to ask a neighbor if she can be on call (she has a day care) in case they call me in...should be interesting...I have no idea what to expect at all... And Emma is extremely elated that she'll be going to "Big School" next year...we've decided that they both are going so that should be fun for her-she's very excited at the idea...she'll be 10 feet off the ground come next August! Then it's FREEDOM for Mommy!

On another note, Emma is Cubbie of the month at Cubbies (AWANA). You'd think they put a diamond tiara on that girl's head...she struts in there with her little vest and book and book bag and just think she's the cat's meow! She earned a badge this last week, so she is even more full of herself...but she loves it so I'm glad of that! I'll take a pic of her next week and post it on my blog...next week is silly hat week so she has to find her silly pink hat...

Off to take school supplies inventory of what I already have...

Congrats to Miss Emma!

Good luck to Jacob at school. I'm still going back and forth on that. I'm leaning toward sending him so he can get out of my hair and I can have some peace and quiet!!! Oh, wait. I have another one :P
